NBA Players - Rose, James, headline All-NBA 1st team

James, who won two straight MVP awards and helped Cleveland to Miami this season to reach the final of the Eastern Conference, was the only unanimous choice, receiving 119 first-place votes from a panel of sports media.

James earned first team honors for the fourth straight season and fifth time overall, while Rose, who became the youngest MVP in the NBA after leading the Bulls to best record in the league from 62 to 20, obtained their first pick in the NBA.

Along with James and Rose in the first team are Kobe Bryant of the Lakers in Los Angeles, Kevin Durant of Oklahoma City Thunder and Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic.

Howard, selected All-NBA first team for the fourth straight season, has already claimed the Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first player to win the award three consecutive seasons.

Bryant, selected All-NBA first team for the sixth straight season and ninth time in his career, finished fifth in the league in points (25. 3 points per game) while averaging 5.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

However, the honor is probably little comfort to Bryant after the Lakers were swept in the playoffs in the second round by Dallas.

Durant, who led the league in scoring with an average of 27.7 points per game, was selected to the first team for the second time.
